Instagram requires a few settings to be correctly configured before connecting your account to a third-party application like Placeloop. If your Instagram account is properly set up, connecting it to Placeloop only takes a few clicks! Follow this step-by-step tutorial.
Before You Begin
Before connecting your Instagram account, make sure you meet the necessary prerequisites:
You have a professional Instagram Account | |
Your Instagram Account is linked to a Facebook Page (official or not) | |
You are logged in to the Facebook Profile that has access to the Facebook Page linked to your Instagram Account, on www.facebook.com |
Steps to Connect Your Instagram Account
- Log in to Placeloop:
Go to your Placeloop merchant account using your usual login credentials.
- Go to Settings:
Click on "Settings" at the bottom left, then select "Social Networks".
- Select Instagram:
In the list of social networks, click on "Instagram" to start the connection process.
- Follow the Facebook / Instagram instructions:
A window will pop up guiding you through the connection steps: log in to your Facebook Profile and confirm access to your Instagram Account.
- Finalize the connection:
Once the steps are completed, your Instagram account will appear in Placeloop’s loading list. A settings icon (gear) will spin on your screen until the connection is established. This may take up to a minute depending on your internet speed. Once done, click "Finish" to complete the process.
If no Instagram account was found, make sure all prerequisites are met, especially the link between your Instagram Account and your Facebook Page. If you’ve recently changed your settings, click "Connect Instagram" again and then "Reconfigure connection" to refresh permissions. |
