Instagram is owned by Facebook and still technically relies on it, especially to connect an Instagram account to a professional application like Placeloop. If Facebook is not (yet) part of your strategy, we recommend creating an unofficial Facebook Page. You won’t need to publish on it—it will only serve as a technical bridge.
Before you start:
To connect your Instagram account to your Placeloop business account, make sure you meet the following requirements:
You have a professional Instagram account | |
The person making the connection has a Facebook Profile with full access (including "Permission" and "Removal" rights) on the business's Facebook Page |
Why link an Instagram Account to a Facebook Page?
Linking your accounts allows you to:
- Simplify management: manage ads, publish content, and view insights more easily from one place.
- Access advanced tools: exclusive features such as post scheduling and use of professional tools (like Placeloop!) for your posts.
- Save time: post simultaneously on Instagram and Facebook.
Steps to link or check the link between your Instagram Account and Facebook Page
On Instagram (mobile app):
- Open the Instagram app.
- Go to your profile by tapping the icon in the bottom right corner.
- Tap "Edit Profile" below your bio.
- Find the section "Public business information".
- On the "Page" line:
If a Page is already linked, its name will appear.
If no Page is linked, tap "Link or create".
On Facebook (mobile app or computer):
- Go to your Facebook Page (Click here to understand the difference between a profile and a page) - (Click here to make sure the connected profile has the right access - TO DO.)
- If prompted, switch profiles to unlock more admin settings.
- Click "Settings", then "Linked acc
