Help: Find out my access level on a Facebook page

Modified on Fri, 18 Oct at 10:35 AM

You need to link your Facebook Page and your Instagram account so that you can connect them both in Placeloop. To do this, you need full access to the Facebook Page.

NOTE: Facebook regularly updates its service, so the layout of the menus may differ depending on how recent your page is

If you have access to a Facebook Page, you can easily check your access level by following these steps:

- Step 1 : Log in to the Facebook profile that has access to the Page.

- Step 2: Click on your profile photo in the top right-hand corner, then click on ‘View all profiles’ if you wish, and finally click on the ‘profile photo’ of your Page in the top right-hand corner to access it.

- Step 3: Go to ‘Settings and Confidentiality’, then select ‘Settings’.

- Step 4: In the ‘Page configuration’ section, click on ‘Page access’.

If your profile does not appear, either in the list of people with Facebook access or in the list of access by task, this means that you are the creator and have full rights by default.

If your profile does appear, either in the list of people with Facebook access or in the list of access by task, you can view your access categories by task: ‘Content’, ‘Messages and calls’, ‘Community activity’, ‘Advertisements’ and ‘Statistics’.

You have total control if you also have access to "Delete Page “ and ”Authorisations ’, which allow you to manage Page settings and access:

  • Page Deletion : Manage and modify all Page settings, such as Page information or even deleting the Page altogether.
  • Authorisations: Grant or withdraw Facebook access (full or partial) or task-based access to others for the Page, as well as the associated Instagram account. This includes the ability to change access for people who have full control themselves.

How can I obtain full access to my Page?

To obtain a full level of control with the ‘Authorisations’ and ‘Delete Page’ accesses, you will need to contact a person who has the same level of access for this page and ask them to modify your rights.

Share the following tutorial with someone who has full control over the page:
