Help: Modify or give full or partial access to a Facebook page

Modified on Fri, 18 Oct at 10:38 AM

Send this tutorial to someone who has full access to the Facebook Page and ask them to give you the level of access you need. Full access allows you to link this Facebook Page to your Instagram account and connect these two social networks to Placeloop. Partial access allows you to post to this Facebook Page from Placeloop.

When you manage a Facebook Page, you may want to share certain tasks with other people. There are two main types of access you can grant:

  • Facebook Access: This access allows one person to manage the Page directly on Facebook, as if they were the owner. They can publish, delete content, change settings and even add or remove other administrators.
  • Access by task: This access is more limited. It allows someone to use specific tools such as Business Manager to manage certain features of the Page, without having full access to the Facebook interface.

How do I access the configurations?

1. Connect to Facebook, and go to the page in question.

2. Go to the page settings : click on the menu for your page, then on ‘settings and privacy’, then on ‘settings’.

3. Access the page configuration: Click on ‘Page configuration’, then on ‘View’ next to ‘Page access’.

Steps for giving partial ‘per task’ access to a Facebook Page

5. Select the specific access you want to give to this person (e.g. Content: Create, manage or delete posts, stories and more as a Page).

6. Confirm: Enter your password and click ‘Confirm’.

By following these steps, you can easily share the management of your Facebook page with other people, granting them the permissions that best suit their roles and your needs.
